Run Groups
Group A
Advanced |
To participate in the Race Group you must have
a valid competition license or must have participated in a previous
Speed Trials race. To be considered as having participated
in the race, you must have completed at least one lap during
the race. Having previously practiced in Group A is not
sufficient. If you don’t meet the previous requirement, you
MUST register for a Private Driving Instructor and pay the associated
fee of $20. |
Group B
Intermediate |
Drivers with more than four days of track experience
and who are comfortable in a high-speed environment. |
Group C
Beginner |
Drivers with four or less days of track experience.
Instruction will be available during your track time. |
If two drivers wish to share a car in the same run group, they will
be classified for the least experienced driver. If two drivers
of the same car want separate run groups, send two entry forms and pay
two entry fees.
Race Classes
Race Class is applicable only to Group A racers.
GTP-U
Pantera
Unlimited |
Any Pantera no longer registered for the street,
or not using DOT tires, or fitted with an aluminum engine block. |
GTP-M Pantera
Modified |
Any Pantera that does not belong in the Unlimited
or Street classes; it must compete on DOT tires and be registered
for the street. |
GTP-S
Pantera
Street |
Any Pantera that is driven to the track; it
must compete on DOT tires with a tread wear rating of at least
100, and must be registered for the street. |
GTS-R
Race Cars |
Any non-Pantera race car. Tube frame/kit car
or race car design. Anything goes! |
GTS-U
Sports Car
Unlimited |
Any production non-Pantera street car that
does not belong in the Race or Street classes; it must compete
on DOT tires and be registered for the street. |
GTS-S
Sports Car
Street |
Any production non-Pantera street car that
is driven to the track; it must compete on DOT tires with a
tread wear rating of at least 100, and must be registered for
the street. |
Each driver in Group A must provide his or her own class stickers
on both sides of the car. They must be a minimum of 4 inches high
and of contrasting color with the car. You must have these stickers
on your car to compete!
Private Driving Instructor
Private driving instructors will be available for $25. The
instruction is available for all three run groups and is required in
group A for racers without competition licenses or group A track time
experience.
